Jobs

I’m hiring for two roles. Either of these sound like you? Send me an email at tom@gradientmetrics.com or fill out the contact form below.

Research Manager

This role is all about being my partner in crime in executing gnarly research projects for major clients. You’d take a leading role in translating the client’s needs into tangible research products and then unpacking what our insights mean for them strategically.

Ideal background is either:

  • (preferred) a consultant at a major management consulting firm (or an analytics-heavy market research firm), having run market research projects directly for clients or as due diligence on targets for investors, or:
  • an ex brand manager who has sponsored market research reports run by external agencies or run internal market research projects

Responsibilities will include:

  • Running point on primary research projects – coordinating between the client, me and our analytics team, and external vendors
  • Designing questionnaires and screeners
  • Packaging results into client-ready deliverables
  • This would **not** include having to do heavy quantitative analysis – that’d be handled by me, but it would involve developing storylines and final decks based on the analysis
  • Working with me on business development initiatives

Perks include:

  • I’d be your boss, and I’m chill
  • You will learn an absolute ton and grow with Gradient – I don’t have small ambitions for this company
  • I believe in paying well (salary commensurate w/ market rates * awesomeness)
  • Remote ok – so long as you’re fine w/ Slack, Trello, and Google Docs (and Github too as a bonus)

Operations Manager

This role is all about hustle and helping me and Gradient get organized. This is a more junior role than the research manager and no particular experience or skill set is required – just an attack mindset and a real eagerness to learn. Not going to lie – some of it (although not a lot!) will be being my personal assistant. You will help me do things like:

  • Establish and maintain an overall project management dashboard
  • Wrap learnings and best practices into an internal wiki
  • Step in to do ad hoc research assignments and put together briefs / memos
  • Step in as required to help put together presentations
  • Handle back-and-forth with prospective clients and partners

Perks include (same as above):

  • I’d be your boss, and I’m chill
  • You will learn an absolute ton and grow with Gradient – I don’t have small ambitions for this company
  • I believe in paying well (salary commensurate w/ market rates * awesomeness)
  • Remote ok – so long as you’re fine w/ Slack, Trello, and Google Docs (and Github too as a bonus)
